Baby Blues....or Pinks

Hang with me.  This will be the last baby post for a while.  I am fully aware that it gets old...always talking about babies and being preggo.  Please realize that it consumes my thoughts, so I need all the help I can get.  See, we're at the 6 and 1/2 month mark and, just in case you're terrible at math, let's just say...this babe will be here before we know it.  To say that the nursery is not ready would be the understatement of the year.  Currently, the room looks a little less like this:

And a little more like this:

So, the planning has begun.  Nothing is set in stone, so I'll give you a few options and you can help me decide.  As you may well know, I'm not a huge fan of pink.  Actually, I hate pink.  Apparently, all girls should love pink because it's EVERYWHERE.  Having said all of that, my top nursery option has a little pink.  In my defense, it's super pale--basically a neutral, really.  (I'm in denial, I know.  Just leave me alone right now.) Here it is:

I'm envisioning light pink walls with lots of grey and white accents.  Naturally, I've already purchased a TON of owls (Chi Omega say what?!).  Those will stay.  I love this bedding option because it's soft and classic--elegant without being too girlie.  Or is it too girlie?  I don't know.

Option 2:

I love this option for its lack of pink and the modern style.  I would paint the walls a light grey and have white (and maybe yellow) accents.

Option 3:

Ok, I know--this is about as girlie as it gets.  But, just look at those owls!!  If I go with this option, I would get a plain white crib sheet and ditch all of that polka dot stuff.  For the paint color, I might go with the green or a light pink.

So, there you have it--the top 3.  I am very open to suggestions.  The paint color will go up (hopefully) next weekend, so I must move quickly.  Help!

  1. Option 2 gets my vote! Lack of pink plus the light gray wall color will grow with your little one and can be paired with a variety of colors later in case she turns out like you (and me) and doesn't like pink! :)

  2. Love option 2. My babe will be of the male variety, but this is almost identical to the set I picked out if he had been a she. I love the yellows and grays!
