I'm a bionic, 20-something small-town lawyer. I enjoy Diet Coke and Curious George fruit snacks. I'm married to Jack, who manages projects by day and rocks out by night. We're newlyweds and just bought our first house. Together, we're raising my dog, Nardia, who ruins my sleep during thunderstorms, but still gets the $50 dog food. I obviously love her a whole bunch. I'm also prone to spoiling my nephew and nieces. They call me "Sassy," because I am. Megan knows this because we've been best friends since we were 12, so I've been ignoring her advice for...let's just say a long time now. Ems and I met under the tutelage of the Financial Aid Godfather at Transylvania University and I almost didn't graduate because she wouldn't make out with Frank. She married him, so I guess I'll let it slide that she was uncooperative way back then. In my spare time, I pretend to run long distances, read novels and practice yoga. In reality, I watch a lot of A&E, read magazines and steal fruit snacks.

Megan
I hail from Winchester, Kentucky, where I consumed way too much Ale-8 as a toddler. Transylvania University was my college of choice. I started out as Pre-Med, but ran screaming from the science building after first semester and never looked back. I ended up majoring in Philosophy, and loving every minute of it. I spent a semester in London, England and if you come over to my house, I’ll force you to look at my scrapbook. Law school was up next – let’s just skip over that part. I’ve known Alicia since she used me for my pool when we were 12, and Ems and I have sent approximately 600,000 texts to each other since we planned our weddings together back in 2009. In 2005 I met Andrew, and we got married in 2009. We live in Lexington (where I lawyer) with our cat, Mr. Tumnus. I enjoy Belgian beers, Keeneland, penguins, good books, and chocolate. You can call me Ems or Em or Emily. I’m reppin’ my Western Kentucky roots here on the blog, despite the fact that my husband, Frank (super attorney) and I, live in south-central Kentucky. We enjoy the small-town life, rescuing kitties (3 so far) and working with the youth at our local church. I live and die UK sports (particularly basketball) and am currently incubating the world’s smallest UK fan (set to arrive in October 2012). I love all things Ireland and serve as the blog's local expert on indie music. Alicia began as my Financial Aid buddy at Transy and became one of the main reasons I married Frank. Without Megan, my wedding would still be in the planning stages. Both of these gals have evolved into the best friends a girl could want. Lately, I'm into discovering new music, growing a baby, and religiously eating fruits and vegetables.
